Who I am

This is the portfolio of Yasser Daniyal, a Creative Art Director based in Islamabad, Pakistan. In this policy “I” means me, and “the site” means yasserdaniyal.com. For anything about your data, email yasserdaniyal@gmail.com.

What I collect when you contact me

The site has no visitor accounts or comments, and nothing you type on it is sent to me or stored. The brief builder in the Contact section only writes a message on your own device; it reaches me only if you choose to send it from your email or WhatsApp. If you email me or message me on WhatsApp, I receive what you send: your name, your contact details and your message. I use it only to reply and to work with you, and I don’t sell or share it.

Print downloads

The posters in the print gallery are free to download as PDFs. There is no sign-up and I don’t ask for your name or email: the file comes straight from the site. Like any page, the download request appears in the host’s logs (see Hosting), and Clarity counts the click like any other.

The private studio sign-in

The page at /studio/ is a private sign-in that only I use to update the site. It isn’t meant for visitors and isn’t listed in search engines. If you sign in there, WordPress sets its sign-in cookies in your browser. To stop password guessing, every failed sign-in attempt is counted against a scrambled (hashed) form of the IP address it came from, and that count is deleted after 15 minutes. Clarity doesn’t run on that page.

Analytics: Microsoft Clarity

I use Microsoft Clarity to see how people use the site, so I can make it better. Clarity records how you move through the page: clicks, taps, scrolling, mouse movement, the pages you view, your device and browser type, and your approximate location from your IP address. From this it builds heatmaps and session replays. Text you type and other sensitive content are masked by default.

Clarity sets cookies in your browser to recognise repeat visits. Microsoft processes the data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. You can stop it by blocking cookies for this site, or by using your browser’s tracking protection or a content blocker. The site works the same either way.

Other services the site loads

Google Fonts provides the typefaces. Your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address.
cdnjs (Cloudflare) provides the animation library. Your browser requests it from Cloudflare, which receives your IP address.
YouTube videos load from youtube-nocookie.com, and only after you press play. YouTube’s own policy applies once a video is playing.
Links to Instagram, LinkedIn, Behance and WhatsApp take you to those services, and their own policies apply.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like every web host, its servers log basic request details such as your IP address, browser and the time of your visit, for security and to keep the site running. Its security check may also set a cookie to confirm you’re not a bot.

How long data is kept

I keep emails and messages for as long as we’re in touch, and after that only as long as a project needs them. Failed sign-in counts are deleted after 15 minutes. Clarity data is kept for the periods Microsoft sets for Clarity, and Hostinger’s logs for the periods Hostinger sets.

Your rights

You can ask me what information I hold about you, and ask me to correct it or delete it. Email yasserdaniyal@gmail.com and I’ll answer within 30 days.

Changes

If the site starts collecting anything new, I’ll update this page and its date.
